By choosing a 3-night cruise on the great African river, you will be able to contemplate the most beautiful monuments of Egypt while travelling on a perfectly equipped boat. The price includes three breakfasts, lunches and dinners, transfers to and from your hotel in Aswan and an expert Egyptologist guide. While sailing, you can also enjoy the on-board bar, a disco and the outdoor swimming pool.

Day 1 - Aswan

The first day focuses on attractions in the city and the surrounding area. One of these is the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the myth of Osiris, who in tradition taught men how to farm and produce wine. You will also see the High Dam, a huge construction that provides hydroelectric power for the country and flood control for the river. In the afternoon, you can return to the boat or visit Aswan on your own.

Meals: lunch and dinner

Day 2 - Aswan to Edfu

The second day is dedicated to one of the most impressive monuments of the country: Abu Simbel. A vehicle will pick you up in the morning to take you to the archaeological complex, built around 1274 BC to celebrate the Egyptian victory over the Hittites at the Battle of Kadesh. You will return to the ship around lunchtime.

Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 3 - Edfu and Luxor (east bank)

Edfu is famous for the temple dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. It stands on the site where, according to tradition, the battle between Horus and the evil god Seth took place. You will then continue your cruise to Luxor, where you will visit the temple of Luxor, which is part of the archaeological complex of Karnak. Inside you will find splendid monuments such as the statues dedicated to Ramses II and the imposing colonnade built by Amenhotep III.

Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 4 - Luxor (west bank)

The fourth and final day is dedicated to the west bank, where the ancient Egyptian city of Thebes is located, complemented by an important necropolis. Your guide will explain the history of the most impressive monuments:

  • Valley of the Kings - Burial place of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom of Egypt. The tombs of Ramesses III and IV, Sanakht and Tausert are among the best preserved.
  • Temple of Hatshepsut - Impressive funerary temple surrounded by limestone reliefs. Hatchepsut was one of the few female pharaohs.
  • Colossi of Memnon - Two huge statues guarding the entrance to Luxor. A short distance away are the ruins of the funerary temple of Amenhotep III.

At the end of the 4-day tour, you can stay in Luxor or return to your hotel from Luxor train station or airport.
