Step by Step
The ghost tour is an original way to visit Phoenix. You'll see the city at night, listening to a local guide tell the spookiest stories. The tour lasts about 2.5 hours and passes through the most terrifying areas:
- Hotel San Carlos: a few weeks after its opening, Leone Jensen committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor, although some believe it was murder. Other guests swear they heard children playing in the corridors.
- St. Mary's Basilica: decapitated figures and mysterious women dressed in white have been seen inside.
- Rosson House: Roland Lee Rosson (1851-1898) was a physician, ambassador and mayor of Phoenix. Coinciding with his election, he built a splendid house that years later became a museum. Sadly, one of its caretakers was shot dead and has not left it since.
- Teeter House: it is said that it still houses the ghost of its former owner, Eliza Teeter, and that some objects move on their own...
- Melindas Alley: she frequented the red light district of Maidens Lane when she was brutally murdered one day. Her spirit has hovered over the alley ever since.
- Hanny's: in the basement there are creepy dolls that supposedly pay homage to the Last Supper.
