Step by Step

Descend into the heart of New York with a guided tour of New York's underground underground. This tour will take you through the most iconic tunnels and stations of this transport network, as you discover the history that lies beneath the streets of the Big Apple.

From the opening of the first section in 1904 to today's expansion, your expert guide will take you on a journey back in time to explore how the underground has shaped the life and culture of New York. You'll do this on a two-hour tour with a small group of about a dozen other travellers for a more personalised experience.

During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to visit historic stations, admire the architecture and learn about the evolution of the underground over the years. You'll get to see City Hall Park station, the first station to be built, or Union Square station.
