Nashville Zoo Tickets

The Nashville Zoo opened in 1991 and moved to its current location after six years. This large green space is located about 10 km south of the city. Buying a skip-the-line ticket allows you to explore at your leisure and get up close and personal with the many species that inhabit the zoo. The keepers know thousands of stories and will be happy to share them with you.

Nashville Zoo has built its reputation around a magnificent feline, the clouded leopard. Originally from Southeast Asia, it prefers humid environments - especially Himalayan rainforests and mangrove swamps - and is very rare to see, as it is characteristically shy. You will recognise it by the large irregular patches on its back.

Another remarkable cat is the Sumatran tiger, one of the world's most endangered felines. It lives in the jungles of the Indonesian island and is smaller than its cousins, but no less fearsome. The park has dedicated a specific area to it, Tiger Crossroads, which has lush vegetation and a small lake, as it is a skilled swimmer.

One of the most representative examples of the South American continent is the Andean bear. It lives in the forests of Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela, but its habitat is constantly threatened by deforestation. It is also known as the spectacled bear because of the white spots on its snout.

A special feature of the Nashville Zoo is the areas designed for the little ones. At Shell Station, children can touch the shells of the Sulcata Tortoises, while at Kangaroo Kickabout they have the opportunity to pet the giant red kangaroos. Also worth mentioning are Critter Encounters - with its alpacas, goats, camels, etc. - and Lorikeet Landing, a huge aviary inhabited by Australian parrots, a very friendly species.

It is difficult to include all the animals that have found a new home in Nashville. Among the most popular are the red panda, goliath tarantula, pink flamingos, blue poison dart frog and the matamata, a turtle with a very long, rocky-looking neck.

The Nashville Zoo is also known for the Soaring Eagle, a zipline that allows you to admire both the animals and the Nashville skyline from above.
