Meet the dolphins and whales in the Rock of Gibraltar! There are six species of cetaceans and seven species of dolphins in Gibraltar, according to the marine observatory and you can see them on this tour. Once you are picked up from your hotel or point close to your accommodation, get ready for one of the best tours and excursions from Seville.

Dolphin watching is something unique, few people have the opportunity to share such a meaningful experience with them. After the pick up in Seville, the group will head to Gibraltar to watch dolphins and whales on a 2 hour boat trip.

As the group sails, they will see Morocco, the Rock of Gibraltar and part of Spain in the background, a perfect picture perfect image.

1 day private tour to Gibraltar from Seville (variable group rates)

We went through the excursions where you join numerous groups of strangers, now we come to the private excursions. In this type of excursion you join up to a maximum of 8 people to make your tour of the Rock of Gibraltar.

In addition to the benefits of travelling with friends or family, the operators offer discounts for the number of participants. My recommendation is that you join up to 7 other adventurers and coordinate to save costs while enjoying one of the best tours and excursions from Seville.

The tour starts with a scenic drive from Seville down to Gibraltar as you pass around the Pueblos Blancos. As you look out over the wooded landscape as you stroll through the Alcornocales National Park you will be enchanted by the beauty of the area. The excursion to the Pueblos Blancos from Seville is usually the next activity after travelling to Gibraltar just for this glimpse, so imagine the visual spectacle.

As the small group drives along the road, the guide shares information about the history, geography and culture of Gibraltar. Along the way you'll see the Moorish castle and enjoy the sea views at Europa Point, the southern tip of Gibraltar. Once on British soil, the group is led through St Michael's Cave and the Monkey's Den where the little apes make their home.

You will then be able to tour the World War II tunnels. Continue to the entrance of this extraordinary underground network where you will learn how the British housed troops, food and ammunition in 1940. Finally, the group descends to the streets of the Rock to enjoy some free time, have lunch and explore the town. At the end of the tour you will return to the starting point of the excursion.

Details of interest

  • Price: From 388 €.
  • Duration: Approximately 10 hours.
  • Itinerary: Pick up in Seville, drive through the province of Cadiz and, once in Gibraltar, start the famous Rock Tour from the viewpoint by the Pillars of Hercules, the Cave of San Miguel and farewell to the city with a walk and lunch on Main Street. At the end of the tour the tour operator will take you back to the starting point in Seville.
  • Pros: The Rock of Gibraltar is a place where crowds are common, travelling in small groups (up to 8 people) allows you to fully appreciate each point of interest and in general the isthmus as a whole. On the other hand, the price of this type of excursion varies according to the number of people on the tour. Try to plan the tour with your friends and family to save on costs.
  • Cons: This type of tour is designed to share the experience with a small group, if you are a backpacker or solo tourist and are not interested in privacy, the first three alternatives on this list are better suited to you.
