Step by Step

This tour of Seville can last between 30 minutes and 2 hours and takes place on a Segway. This is a two-wheeled, electric-powered means of transport with a self-balancing mechanism. It is not necessary to have driven it before.

Before setting off, the expert guide will explain how it works and give you tips on how to use it safely. During the tour you will visit some of the most iconic places such as:

  • Plaza del Triunfo - Located in the heart of Seville, this square is lined with the most representative buildings of the city: the Cathedral, the Alcázar, the Casa de la Provincia and the Archivo de Indias.
  • Puerta de Jerez - Despite its name, this is not a gate, but a pedestrian square in the monumental area of Seville. In addition to the beautiful fountain in the centre, it is famous for the Palacio de Yanduri and the regionalist-style Hotel Alfonso XIII.
  • Plaza de España - A monumental complex designed by the Sevillian architect Aníbal González, who conceived a neo-Renaissance complex with a canal crossed by bridges and 48 benches decorated with tiles. It was built for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, during the reign of Alfonso XIII.
  • Torre del Oro - Seville was once surrounded by walls and the Torre del Oro is one of the few survivors of this defensive system. It was built in the 13th century by the Muslim governor Abù l-Ulà. It is located on the left bank of the Guadalquivir and hosts a panoramic viewpoint.
  • Triana - Historical Sevillian quarter probably founded in Roman times. Its name is thought to derive from "Trajana", a colony dedicated to the emperor Trajan. Its fame is linked to flamenco and points of interest such as the Capilla del Carmen, the Castillo de San Jorge and Calle Betis.

If you want to extend the route, you can include landmarks such as the Metropol Parasol (the Seville Mushrooms), Plaza Alameda de Hércules or the old tobacco factory. If you wish, you have the option of adding a flamenco show or a boat trip on the Guadalquivir. You just have to indicate it at the end of the booking.

I had never been on a Segway before and it was a wonderful experience. We were able to go much further than on foot, without getting tired and with a lot to see.
