Step by Step
On this guided tour of Marbella you will walk through the beautiful streets, squares, monuments and historical sites of the old town, where you will find traces of different civilisations that have populated the city since the 12th century.
You will be accompanied by a professional guide who will take you on a colourful and cultural walking tour of approximately one hour and a half, where you will see the typical white houses and buildings with flowers on their terraces and balconies. A postcard that will make you feel the characteristic vibe of this must-see destination on the Costa del Sol.
You'll explore the city beyond its coastline, beaches and luxury shops, into narrow streets lined with terraces and bars where a good time is a must. Some of the places you will visit while taking this experience are:
- Parque de La Alameda: you will pass through this beautiful and busy botanical garden, one of the social epicentres of the central area, where locals meet to enjoy and relax.
- Paseo Marítimo: here you will discover the incredible and varied leisure offer of Marbella, with bars, restaurants, shops and Dalí sculptures, stretching along an avenue of approximately 6 km.
- Marbella Castle: one of Marbella's main historical attractions is this building which, with its walls and citadel, will allow you to see towers from the Muslim and later Roman era, which were used as a fort to defend the city.
- Plaza de la Iglesia: this idyllic square is another of the area's postcards, where the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación is located, a must-see when passing through the old town. During your stroll, there may be a musical event, a fair or a market.
And, of course, you can also visit the Plaza de los Naranjos, a place that tells a good part of the history of Marbella after the Christian Reconquest in 1485. In the surrounding area you will see official buildings, such as the town hall, the Ermita de Santiago hermitage and the Casa del Corregidor.
