Step by Step
This guided tour lasts approximately 8 hours and takes place on board an air-conditioned bus. It includes hotel pick-up, but if you are staying outside Palma de Mallorca or in an area not covered, you will be directed to an easily accessible pick-up point.
As usual, the first destination is Valldemossa, a charming village only 17 km from Palma de Mallorca. In addition to the nature of this valley, it is worth a visit to discover buildings such as the Real Cartuja, a large complex with an old pharmacy, a cloister, a church and two museums.
Valldemossa is one of the most beautiful villages in Spain and has attractions such as the Church of San Bartolomé and the Palace of King Sancho. It is also worth admiring the views from the Mirador de Miranda des Lledoners viewpoint and trying coca de patata, the local gastronomic speciality.
After the visit, the bus will cross the Tramuntana mountain range, 90 km of valleys, lush forests and peaks of over 1,300 metres. It has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and comprises 20 municipalities. Before reaching Sóller, you will pass through two of the most picturesque: Deià and Llucalcari.
The vehicle also stops at Sa Foradada, a peninsula that juts out into the waters of the Mediterranean. Finally you will reach Sóller, the town of oranges. The valley cultivates a sweet variety that was introduced by the Arabs and is still one of the town's economic motors.
At its heart is the Plaza de la Constitución which houses the most important buildings; the Church of San Bartolomé; the modernist Banco de Sóller; and the Town Hall, as well as bars and restaurants. The visit includes a ride on the historic tram that connects the railway station and the port. Please note that the order of the destinations may vary. The activity will involve some walking, so it is preferable to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
