Step by Step

This boat trip departs from the port of Tazacorte and travels along the west coast of La Palma. The activity lasts about 2 hours and takes place at all times of the year. During the whole itinerary you will be accompanied by an expert guide who will explain the particularities of each place of interest you will see.

The island is characterised by steep cliffs overlooking the ocean, some of which are only accessible by sea. The boat will also reach the open sea to spot dolphins, whales, turtles and other marine and non-marine species. Weather permitting, a stop for swimming or snorkelling is also planned. Drinks and snacks are also included in the price.

The boat may stop at the following locations:

  • Cueva Bonita - In the past, locals used to take refuge here to escape pirates and privateers. It can only be reached by sea.
  • Porís de Candelaria - A natural harbour in the municipality of Tijarafe. The small white houses are just a stone's throw from the sea and are sheltered by a deep black cliff of volcanic origin.
  • Cueva Colorada - Red Cave
  • Porís de Puntagorda - A small isolated cove that is not affected by mass tourism even in summer.

Finally, you will come to Playa de la Veta, a cove of difficult access, with black sand and small houses clinging to the rocks. This small strip of land only appears in spring and summer. In the other seasons it is swallowed up by the Atlantic. Please note that the route can be done in a different order due to weather or sea conditions.
