Barcelona is a city that offers a multitude of culinary options and the truth is that its food is one of the main tourist attractions and one of the main reasons to visit the city. Typical Catalan gastronomy has many influences and therefore offers recipes from the sea, the mountains and the countryside.
Some typical examples of Catalan gastronomy are roast chicken Catalan style, calçots with romesco sauce, butifarra sausage, coca catalana, suquet de peix or fish stew, esqueixada de bacallà, crema catalana or bread with tomato, popular in all Spanish breakfasts.
Along the gastronomic tour, you'll pass through typical Barcelona areas such as the Mercat de Sant Antoni or the Mercat de la Boquería, a market where you'll find street vendors where you can try Serrano ham and Manchego cheeses. You'll be able to taste famous products such as patatas bravas, croquettes and other tapas, as well as many varieties of wine and vermouth in a multitude of corners.
