Step by Step
In this activity you will have the opportunity to cruise from Queenstown to Walter Peak High Farm for around 3.5 hours. Throughout the experience you will be accompanied by an expert guide who will teach you lots of interesting facts about local history and customs, as well as farming life in particular.
Once at the farm, you'll enjoy a delicious gourmet barbecue lunch, allowing you to familiarise yourself with the flavours and delights of New Zealand cuisine. As you eat, you can take in the natural beauty of the area's scenery with the stunning peaks of the Southern Alps reflected in the calm waters of Lake Wakatipu .
In addition to this delicious meal, you'll also have the chance to watch a dog herding show, in which dogs lead obedient sheep through the countryside, and a shearing show for cattle, whose prized wool is one of the country's main exports.
Walter Peak High is a farm that has been in operation since the 19th century and visitors of all nationalities come to enjoy the magnificent views and delicious food, but also to learn more about rural life in New Zealand and participate in farming activities.
