I Amsterdam City Card

Make the most of your trip to Holland with your I Amsterdam City Card. This card gives you access to more than 70 attractions and experiences around the city, as well as the chance to rent a bicycle for a day trip or a cruise on Amsterdam's famous canals, plus public transport. You have the option to reserve this card for 24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours depending on your interests. You will have 1 year to activate your card from the date of purchase.

This card allows you to move freely around the city, as it gives you free and unlimited use of GVB public transport (bus, tram and metro) during the hours you have booked. But it also gives you access to a long list of activities and places to do and visit.

How does the I Amsterdam City Card work?

The card is a digital card that you can use on your smartphone by downloading the I Amsterdam City Card app. With your booking you will receive a code that you can use to activate the card in the app, as well as instructions to help you with the process. Once synced with the app, you can activate your card from the app itself. But remember to do this when you are going to visit an attraction or take public transport, as the hours you have booked will start to count from the moment you activate it. Please note that you will only be able to use your card on your smartphone, so make sure you always have it with enough battery power.

Through the app, you can transfer cards to family or friends and explore the city using a map that highlights the best places and activities you can access with the card. A card can only be transferred once.
