Step by Step

Embark on an excursion from San Cristobal de las Casas to the Sumidero Canyon and Chiapa de Corzo. The activity includes transfers to and from your hotel in San Cristobal de las Casas and a local guide. You will visit the Sumidero Canyon from a boat and stroll through the beautiful town of Chiapa de Corzo. The adventure lasts about 6 hours during which you will enjoy the history and nature that Mexico has to offer.

The excursion will start from your accommodation in San Cristobal de las Casas and from there you will head to the Sumidero Canyon. You will be able to see the canyon from a boat, where you will travel for about two hours along its imposing cliffs up to 1,000 metres high. As you sail down the Grijalva River, you will be able to appreciate the biodiversity of the area, which is home to birds, crocodiles and monkeys.

After this experience, you will head towards Chiapa de Corzo, a town with beautiful colonial architecture. Here you will have free time to stroll through the streets, visit the fountain and enjoy the traditional local cuisine. Finally, you will return to your hotel in San Cristobal de las Casas, where you can relax and review your adventure.
