Step by Step

Explore Italy's most picturesque coastline with this full-day excursion to Cinque Terre from Pisa, a perfect opportunity to get to know these five UNESCO World Heritage villages. The activity includes round-trip transportation, an escorted guide and a wine tasting to add a local flavour to the experience.

The day begins with a transfer by car from Pisa to the Liguria region, where the famous villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore are nestled on cliffs facing the sea. Along the way you will visit at least three of them (the selection may vary depending on the day and the conditions of the terrain).

You will have free time to stroll through narrow streets lined with colourful houses, enjoy panoramic views of the sea and learn about the daily life of these charming fishing villages. Depending on the day's itinerary, you may also have the possibility to move between villages by train or boat.

One of the highlights is a wine tasting at a local winery, where you will taste some typical wines of the region, such as the dry white wine from the hills of Cinque Terre or the famous Sciacchetrà, a traditional sweet wine. The staff will explain you the winemaking process and the history of the vineyards cultivated on terraces facing the sea.

The excursion is designed for small groups and a guide will accompany you for the whole day, explaining curiosities, history and details about each place.
