Step by Step
Feel like royalty with this half-day excursion to the Palace of Versailles. Depart from Paris in an air-conditioned coach with all the comforts of home.
With this tour you will have access to one of the most legendary and imposing buildings in France, built by order of King Louis XIII in the 17th century. With a professional guide, you will learn all about the history of the place. And believe us: it will be very productive. There's a lot to see here!
Since its creation, the palace has been passed down from generation to generation by different monarchs, who have styled, modified and built it in various ways until it became the baroque-style architectural marvel it is today.
This structure, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, served as a royal residence between 1682 and 1789. A period interrupted by the great French Revolution, which overthrew King Louis XVI and put an end to the monarchy.
Inside, it houses what were once the King and Queen's chambers, as well as the War and Peace Rooms, and the beautiful Royal Opera House, a theatre built of wood where the musical performances of the royal era were held.
As you join this tour, you'll wander through this and other areas, such as the Hall of Mirrors, where the Treaty of Versailles was signed in 1919, ending World War I. 357 mirrors in a corridor more than 70 metres long. A marvel!
