Lyon Aquarium Tickets

Tickets for the Lyon Aquarium give you access to a very interesting modern facility. When booking, you must indicate a day and you can use it at any time. Inaugurated in 2002, it is characterised by an immersive itinerary that covers 5 thematic areas:

• Temperate freshwaters. This sector is dedicated to the species that live in the rivers and lakes of the region. Among the most interesting inhabitants, we can highlight the catfish.
• Shark pit. The environment that allows you to see these extraordinary predators up close. Here live the blacktip shark (recognisable by the dark spots on its fins) and the leopard shark, small in size and with a diet based on invertebrates from the seabed.
• Tropical freshwater. The tanks of the French aquarium reproduce the habitat of the piranha, the fish known for its sharp teeth and insatiable appetite. Another noteworthy tenant is the crocodile fish, which has the characteristic of being able to survive even out of water.
• Sea water. An environment dedicated to clownfish, panther groupers, anemones, moray eels and dozens of other species. Here you will also see a splendid coral reef .
• The five senses. It has tanks designed to touch turbot, stars, rays, sea cucumbers and other animals. This is often the children's favourite space.

In addition to the themed areas, documentaries explaining the habits and characteristics of sea creatures are shown. The Aquarium also has a nice souvenir shop.

The aquarium is located in La Mulatière, south-west of Lyon. It is located at the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers and is easily accessible from the city centre. From the Lyon-Perrache multimodal station, the journey takes just over half an hour. If, on the other hand, you're travelling by car, you'll be pleased to know that the aquarium has a free car park.
